Job Description
Village Brewery is looking for a brilliant Digital Marketing Manager to join our team! In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be responsible for building Village Brewery’s capabilities in the digital landscape (leading us in digital strategy development and improving our execution). The position will work closely with our Brand Manager, CX Manager and Sales team and will be supported by third party agency partners and internal staff.

Who you are

You have a well rounded background in digital marketing with at least 5 years of marketing manager experience, or independent consultant experience in digital marketing.

Professionally, you are a strategic thinker who highly values brand, design and brings a strong consumer-driven marketing philosophy. You are up to date with trends, tactics and the latest in the field and have a thirst for innovation in the space. At your core, you are a marketer who connects consumer needs to our products & offerings. Personally, you are energetic & passionate about your craft, you are curious by nature and you value attention to detail and have a high standards for your work. You have a desire to do great work on a high performance team in an exciting industry!

    Key Responsibilities

    The Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for the overall planning, strategy and execution (or contracting of execution) of Village Brewery digital tactics in support of our brand and product objectives.

    Building digital capabilities
    Digital marketing strategy
    Optimization strategy (launch, test, improve)
    Social media strategy
    Content strategy
    Email outreach
    Website strategy
    E-commerce (Campaign development & conversion tactics) Building & leveraging database
    Campaign development & execution
    Analytics & optimization
    Primarily B2C but some B2B


    The ultimate objective of this role is to build brand equity and increase sales. The specific priorities and goals of the position will be developed with the successful candidate and will include:

    Grow audience & brand awareness
    Inspire consumer & stakeholder engagement
    Optimize & increase e-commerce sales/conversions Grow our database & leverage
    Manage budget & improve returns
    Support & deliver on product strategies

Education, Experience & Skills/Qualifications

We believe every one of us is a unique combination of skills, experiences and potential. Here are some of the qualifications we find most desirable in a candidate:

  • You have a lot of experience “doing” and because of it, you have developed strong strategy skills.

  • Specifically, you are fluent in the tactical execution of digital advertising, social media and email/database outreach.

  • You have developed integrated digital campaigns, driven conversion and run e-commerce site(s).

  • You have a proficiency in “putting it all together” to achieve an integrated & effective outcome.

  • You are creative and have a flair for communication.

  • You geek out about marketing and/or digital which keeps you curious and always learning

  • These are assets...

    • A University degree

    • Industry experience in Consumer Package Goods or the liquor industry

    • Expertise in retail e-commerce

    • A love of craft beer

    • A community-minded outlook
